After leaving school I hadn't played for over 30 years. Listening to my younger son's swing band (Mood Swings) in concert I remembered just how much I enjoyed playing and being part of a band. I pulled my old trumpet out of the attic, found a local teacher and started practicing in earnest. Having recently achieved Grade 5 I now feel confident enough to inflict myself on a band and so I've joined the CCB, who are a very welcoming bunch.
Aside from providing a "Dad's Taxi" service I try to keep fit with a bit of running and walking at the weekends.
